Canadian Dollar Currency Exchange Morning Update June 17, 2014
USD/CAD Open: 1.0870-1.0872 Overnight Range: 1.0840-1.0877
The Canadian dollar was rangebound in overnight currency exchange markets. Oil is at $106.41 and gold is at $1,262. US futures are lower. Today, US CPI data is released.
The short term Canadian dollar technicals are neutral. For today, USD resistance is at 1.1180 and 1.1260. Support is at 1.0800 and 1.0610.
Oil and gold are steady. Fear of continued violence in Iraq present and is being watched closely. The IMF yesterday reduced US growth forecasts. The Canadian dollar remains rangebond for the most part. Risk aversion fears have not impacted the Canadian dollar significantly yet.
Today’s Suggested Range USD/CAD: 1.0830 – 1.0930
