USD/CAD Open: 1.0914-1.0916 Overnight Range: 1.0896-1.0945
The Canadian dollar was rangebound in overnight currency exchange markets. Oil is at $97.32 and gold is at $1,314. US futures are higher. Today, the US releases retail sales data.
The short term Canadian dollar technicals are neutral. For today, USD resistance is at 1.0990. Support is at 1.0725.
US retail sales released today were below expectations. Statistics Canada admitted to an error in its most recent jobs data release and the Canadian dollar is now near pre-release levels. A new corrected jobs report will be released on Friday. USD/CAD remains rangebound for the most part around the 1.09 USD/CAD level.
