Currency Exchange in Trois-Rivières (1-877-355-5239)
If you are travelling and looking to exchange physical cash in Abbotsford there are a number of different places that you can go. Many retail vendors around the city specialize in these transactions, so they might be your best bet. However, retail vendors are usually located in busy city centers such as airports, train stations or shopping malls. This means their overheads are incredibly high, resulting in inflated rates. Your other option is to go to your local bank. You might be able to find more favorable rates here when looking to exchange physical cash; however banks too have high overheads so you might run into a similar problem. The key is to shop around in order to find the best rate. Physical cash exchange is always more expensive than electronic cash exchange, so try to buy in large amounts to take advantage of better exchange rates.
If you don’t need physical cash, and are looking to transact an amount higher than $5,000 than Knightsbridge Foreign Exchange is the place for you.

About Trois-Rivières
On the confluence of the Saint-Mauricie and Saint Lawrence Rivers lays Trois-Rivères a city known as an economic and cultural hub of the Mauricie region. The city is appropriately named after the three mouths at the Saint Lawrence River and has origins that date back to the 1500s. Initially it was frequented by Algonquins and Abenakis, using it as a summer stopping place. It wasn’t until 1603 when Samuel de Champlain recommended establishing a settlement which was eventually completed in 1634. The city remained French until captured by the British in 1760 and experienced steady growth until 1908 where many of the city’s original buildings were destroyed by a fire in 1908. Since then the city has went under large-scale economic diversification and has put itself on the academic map with Universitè du Quèbec à Trois-Rivières, known for its chiropractic school and podiatric medical education.
Beyond its historical significance, the city has numerous cultural activities such as FestiVoix de Trois-Rivières, a 10-day summer music festival that attracts over 300,000 people annually. The city also has an international poetry festival and is officially the “Poetry Capital of Quebec.” The city also has significance in extreme sports such as racing with an internationally known racetrack named Circuit Trois-Rivières that hosts the American Le Mans Series, Nascar Canadian Tire Series, and others.
