FX Morning Update April 9, 2013
USD/CAD Open: 1.0163-1.0165 Overnight Range: 1.0158-1.0176
The Canadian dollar was rangebound in overnight trading. Oil is at $93.57 and gold is at $1,574. NY futures are higher. Today, wholesale inventory data is released.
The short term Canadian dollar technicals are mixed. For today, USD resistance is at 1.0350 and 1.0450. Support is at 1.0125, and 1.0010.
Chinese inflation was softer than expected overnight. Alcoa earnings beat the street. Markets are in a risk-on mood. The loonie continues to trade within its recent established range.
Today’s Suggested Range USD/CAD: 1.0125 – 1.0225
